Helping Hands: we've got your family's backpack
About The Hansome Family
Helping Hands by The Hansome Family creates simple, fillable guides that help families stay calm when life gets chaotic. We make practical guides and family tools, in large print, so the important things are on paper before a hard day arrives.
Who we are
We are The Hansome Family, and Hansome Helping Hands is our small family shop. Everything we make starts from one simple idea: the important things should be written down, in plain words, in one place where the people you trust can find them.
We turn overwhelm into clear, step-by-step action. When the wind is howling and the power goes out, or the phone rings with hard news, nobody wants to search through drawers wondering where the flashlight or the vet records went. A few calm pages, filled in ahead of time, can make that day a little easier for everyone.
Whether it is a pet emergency, a new sitter, a parent's papers, or everyday family challenges, we've got your family's backpack.
What we make
Our kits are printable PDFs you print at home and fill in by hand, at your own pace:
- Pet emergency binders for vet records, medicines, and evacuation plans
- Pet sitter instructions so a sitter, neighbor, or relative knows exactly what to do
- A new puppy planner for pickup day and the first weeks at home
- A "just in case" binder for getting a parent's papers in order together
- A first steps checklist for the first days after a death
Every kit uses large type, roomy lines, and one topic per page, so it is easy to read and easy to write in, even when you are tired or worried.
How we make them
- Calm and plain. No scare tactics and no jargon. We explain what to write down and why.
- Built on official sources. We start from free guidance from groups like the CDC, ASPCA, AVMA, Ready.gov, the FTC, and the Social Security Administration, and we name our sources on the page.
- Educational, not advice. We are not veterinarians, doctors, lawyers, or financial advisers. Our kits are organizers that help you gather information and talk with the right professionals.
- Private by design. Our family organizers never ask for passwords, PINs, or full account numbers.
- Honest. We will not invent reviews, statistics, or credentials. If we get something wrong, we fix it.
Our editorial policy explains how we choose sources, how we use AI writing tools, and how we correct mistakes.
Free guides
You do not have to buy anything to get help. Our free guides and free printables cover what to leave for a pet sitter, what goes in a pet emergency kit, and more, with checklists you can tick off as you go.
